Board Meeting March '09 on the road

March 24, 2009

On March 24th, the ONRA Board took their meeting on the Road.  The group met at 7:30 in the morning and held their board meeting on the way to Wheeling, West Virginia.  The way back from the meeting was full of entertainment, excitement, and history led by our tour guide/vice-president Doug Smith.  The tour, which will be similar to the ONRA Members trip this summer, focused on the history of the Road, as well as the history along the Road.  We stopped at many sites including the 1849 Wheeling suspension bridge, Blaine Bridge, St. Clairsville, the Lentz Tavern, Pike towns including Old Washington, Cambridge which featured a wonderful lunch break at Theo‘s downtown, Norwich, Bridgeville, Zanesville, Etna, Wagram, and much, much more.  The trip was a true success and the many membership bus trips that are to come are sure to be a success.

Thanks to everyone involved!
