Welcome to the Ohio National Road!
Welcome to the Ohio National Road, the first federally funded road in the USA. The National Road played a key part in the early development of America and Ohio, that continues today. We are glad you have made the National Road and its many treasures your destination. The Ohio National Road is part a six-state All-American Road that stretches over 700 miles, from Baltimore through Maryland, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana and Illinois to East St. Louis. We hope the information in this site will enhance your journey through Ohio. The Ohio Department of Transportation designated the Historic National Road as a state scenic byway and the road received All-American Road designation by the Federal Highway Administration. We are proud to be a partner with the National Road and Zane Grey museum. Please visit their website here.
